Due to the economic sanctions imposed by the US and European countries against the Russian Federation as a response to the aggression in Ukraine, the country has become catastrophically short of medicines vital for patients. This was reported in the Main Directorate of Intelligence.

According to the information that Ukrainian intelligence officers have, the supply of necessary medications in the Russian Federation has become significantly limited over the eight months of the war with Ukraine. Prices have increased for the remaining drugs on sale.

In this regard, in the hospitals of the Russian Federation, surgeons have already begun to postpone elective operations for an indefinite period. Doctors now provide assistance only in emergency cases that threaten the life of the patient.

In addition, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation issued a decree on the creation of an emergency reserve of medicines for four months. The relevant ministry does not rule out the possibility that due to the strengthening of sanctions, the import of medicines to Russia may completely stop.

According to intelligence officers, this is due to the fact that Russia practically does not produce modern medicines. In the overwhelming majority of cases, medicines purchased from other countries are only packaged in the country. Another reason is the increase in the consumption of medicines and drugs due to the heavy military losses of the Russian army in Ukraine.

In addition, Focus told his readers that drugs disappeared from sale in Russia ” Proginova”, “Estrogel”, “Divigel”. Medical officials suggest doctors look for analogues, but they are not produced in Russia.
