Duolingo's High Valyrian course is now much more comprehensive.
The Duolingo app has added 159 words and over 700 sentences in his High Valyrian lesson, the language of the Targaryen family in the series Game of Thrones, a month before the release of a series on the history of this family.
< p class="e-p">The High Valyrian Course was launched on the app in 2017 as the seventh season of the hit HBO series debuted.
In Game of Thrones, only Daenerys Targaryen speaks High Valyrian, being the last survivor of the clan.
House of the Dragon will, however, feature several ancestors of Emilia Clarke's character, which suggests that the language invented by David J. Peterson will have a much more prominent place in this series.
In a press release, Duolingo explains that it has collaborated with Peterson in order to create a much more complete course through which it will be possible to learn the vocabulary to control a dragon.
At the end of this enhanced course, it will also be possible to hold conversations regarding the cuisine and architecture of Valyria, the land of the Targaryen family.
The first episode of House of the Dragon premieres on HBO on August 21st. The story takes place 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
