Very dry skin Skin can also signal the onset of diabetes. Disorders of carbohydrate metabolism provoke increased dryness, itching, discoloration of the skin and reduce the resistance to skin infections.
Sleep Disorders Diabetes endocrine disorders also interfere with sleep patterns. If you start to wake up frequently due to hunger, thirst, or the urge to use the toilet, check your blood sugar. Scientists have shown that insomnia increases the risk of developing diabetes because it triggers the release of cortisol, which interferes with tissue sensitivity to insulin.
