A few days after buying Twitter, billionaire Elon Musk on Monday, November 7, advised “independent voters” to vote in the congressional elections for Republican candidates. The post was published on Twitter.

Representatives of some social groups criticize Musk for his unconditional position regarding freedom of speech. And they warn that such an approach will contribute to the spread of disinformation and statements that sow hatred in the microblogging platform.

In his post, already as the head of one of the largest social networks, Musk spoke out in support of a political party for the first time. He addressed his message to “independent voters.”

“Divided power holds back the worst extremes of both parties, so I advise you to vote for the Republican Congress, given that the president is a Democrat,” the entrepreneur wrote.

Democrats are in for an intense battle with Republicans for congressional seats this Tuesday.

Republicans are predicted to win a majority in the House of Representatives, and the battle for control of the Senate will be more difficult.

According to the entrepreneur, radical Democrats or Republicans never vote for the other side, so it is independent voters who decide who should be the leader.
