Queen Letizia of Spain visits the Cervantes Institute in Los Angeles, which is officially opened December 13th. She opened the Institute's first branch on the west coast, which was founded by the Spanish government in 1991 to promote the language and Latin American culture internationally. This is reported by AP News.
It is noted that Spanish is the second most spoken language in the United States after English and is widely spoken in Los Angeles, where almost 50% of the population is Hispanic or Latino. The branch is the seventh in the US.
For the event, the Queen chose a camel-colored straight-cut wool coat from her favorite brand Carolina Herrera, and matched it with a milky white long-sleeved blouse and matching midi skirt and shod leather high-heels. In her hands, Letizia held a beige and white bag, also from Carolina Herrera.
