Elisa and Mathéo's first steps within the national police in Mende: recruitment of assistant police officers is open

After passing the written, sports and oral parts of the assistant police officer competition, Elisa and Mathéo joined a police school for four months of training. On the program: theory: ethics and professional conduct, administrative and legal aspects of practicing the police profession, knowledge of criminal law and the code of criminal procedure and practice: sport, professional technical intervention gestures, shooting.

On January 6, 2025, they signed their contract with the human resources department, and since then they have been part of the workforce of the Mende national police.

The discovery

After a week spent in a weekly cycle to discover the general functioning of the police station, the specialized services and their new colleagues, each was assigned to their brigade, one in the day brigade, the other in the night brigade.

To ensure the continuity of the presence police officers on the ground, groups of personnel are formed, these are brigades. So that the personnel of each brigade can have rest and that the police presence is ensured, the public highway personnel work “in cycles”. They thus benefit from guaranteed rest every other weekend and every other Wednesday.

The specialized public highway group (the GSP) works “weekly”, from Monday to Friday, with the weekend off.
