Émile Simard will be a candidate for the PQ nomination in Dubuc

Émile Simard wants to be elected for represent the Parti Québécois in Dubuc.

Émile Simard, a young university from the borough of La Baie, wants to represent the Parti Québécois (PQ) in the riding of Dubuc.

The one who is regional president of the young PQ has collected enough signatures to solicit this role from the members of the PQ. The nomination period ends on July 17. If other candidates come forward by then, the party will decide on a date to hold a nomination meeting.

If chosen, Émile Simard wants in particular defending the use of French in Cégep and the application of Bill 101 in college establishments. According to him, those who think that this is not a regional issue are wrong.

The more students there are who exile to study in English, the less our teaching centers receive the money necessary to maintain their programs. It's a vicious circle, he says in a press release.

He is also committed to promoting Quebec's independence and emphasizing the development tourism in his riding.
