“The engine blew up just as our wheels were leaving the ground,”, Kelcie Davis says on TikTok. “The plane lost control on the runway for a few seconds, but thank goodness our pilot was able to regain control of the plane. Only one slide was working to evacuate the entire plane.” Passengers were then forced to be evacuated using inflatable slides and of stairs.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FEA) confirmed in a press release that there was an “engine problem” before takeoff. Fortunately, no one was injured. An investigation is underway to determine the causes of this incident, which could have been dramatic.
