Loops around Bellegarde, nothing more traditional to launch the 55th edition of the Étoile de Bessèges. The runners will cover 159 kilometres around the Gard city, with two passages on the Côte de la Tour, at kilometres 55 and 117.

Sprinters' word ?

A sprint finish is expected, unless breakages due to the wind disrupt the finish. But Arnaud Démare (Arkea), Mads Pedersen (Lidl) and Sam Bennett (Decathlon-AG2R) should be at the forefront at the finish.

The race will be followed live from 12pm on midilibre.fr, ten minutes before the official start. The L’Equipe channel will start broadcasting from 2pm. Arrival is expected around 4:05 p.m.

The complete profile and the times of passage: Step 1.
