EU ambassadors approved the seventh package of sanctions against Russia: who was on the list

The ambassadors of the EU countries approved the seventh package of sanctions against Russia. One of the ambassadors, representative of Lithuania Arnoldas Pranckevičius wrote about this on Twitter.

New restrictions will ban the import of gold from Russia and freeze the assets of Sberbank. The 7th sanctions package contains export control measures and personal sanctions against more than 50 legal entities and individuals, the representative of Lithuania noted.

EU European restrictions will not affect trade in agricultural products between third countries and Russia.

The official decision should be published on July 21. The European Commission wanted to extend the previous six packages of sanctions until January 2023.

Many sanctions against the Russian Federation do not work

Bloomberg previously reported that the seventh package of sanctions will change the of goods to the Kaliningrad region through Lithuania.

The Boeing aircraft company stopped selling aircraft to Russia due to Western sanctions. The manufacturer wanted to supply more than 1.5 thousand aircraft to Russia over 20 years.
