A common theme

From charcoal drawing, cardboard sculpture to bringing a drawing to life with recycled objects, the students were able to express part of their personality through their works. A common theme: measures and excesses. Some, like Cléa, were inspired by the place to create their project:“I observed the environment, and I launched myself on the idea of reproducing a chapel as in a dream. I will work a lot on the volumes and spaces with the cardboard”. For her part, Stella started from her imagination, considering the subject, excessive measures, as reality and dream. So she brought to life a character from her drawings, “I imagined a myth in which characters would live our dreams on another planet. He, who I bring to life, is the one who studies them. There's something a bit crazy, but I like it”, she adds with a laugh.

A first exhibition for students

For most of the students, it's the first time that their work will be exhibited outside the school walls. “There's still a little pressure, but it's good pressure. People will really see what I do”, Stella confides. Shared by his classmates, Victor even specifies that he “has never spent so much time on a work”. Others, including Cléa, are nevertheless confident and rather satisfied: “It's such a great opportunity and in a chapel, it's quite incredible.”

For future members of the fine arts, the establishment's open house will take place this Saturday, February 1st from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with two information meetings at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at 23 rue Jean-Moulin in Sète.
