She is the tireless type. Actress, content creator, founder of a clothing brand… Ariane Brodier never stops and is embarking on a new adventure. The Montpellier native is getting ready to participate in the Moroccan raid La Sahraouiya, starting this Sunday, February 2. A 100% female event.
As a duo with her friend and professional athlete Lucie Rose, she discovers a new multisport race, this time in the desert. “This is not my first raid. I am quite fond of this type of race. I have already raced in Lapland and Corsica. I wanted to try something else”, explains the sportswoman.
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000Ariane Brodier owes her arrival to a friend. “I am lucky to know Samira Aït-Brahim, a former candidate of Koh Lanta. She has participated several times in this raid which is located in Dakhla (Morocco). She is now part of the organization and suggested that I do it.”
Each time she participates, she does it for a humanitarian cause (Arc Foundation, breast cancer, etc.). “It nourishes me and pleases me“, she admits. This time, the funds raised will go to SOS Children's Village Morocco. “They support abandoned children, orphans, in distress. The children are taken care of by an adoptive mother. She gives them love, protection, everything they need to grow.” With the funds raised, the association will begin work to build a sixth village, the first in Dakhla. In total, 60 new children will be housed in eight houses. The cause has “hugely touched” the actress, who wants to spread this spirit of solidarity.
For its 11th edition, the raid will consist of around ten events: mountain biking, trail running, orienteering, abseiling, and canoeing. This last event is particularly anticipated by the Montpellier resident. “It's always a complicated event on the raids. I'm going to be facing girls who live in Morocco, they kayak every day. We're stronger in racing.”
Of all these competitions, Ariane remembers above all the meetings and the self-sacrifice of the women, all united in this sisterhood. “The fact of being among women and surpassing oneself through sport is even more beautiful than anything. There are women of all levels, there are professional or ex-professional athletes or some are doing their first raid. It's the very essence of the concept.”
She also remembers a striking anecdote. “Two girls had touched me last year on a raid. One of them didn't know how to swim at 30. She had to learn to swim. I thought it was great because she prepared for a year to be able to do this event.”
