Ferrari confiscated from criminals has become a police officer (video)

Patrol Ferrari 458 Italia will fight the most persistent traffic offenders. The finalization of the supercar for the police cost 12,000 euros.

The Ferrari 458 Italia supercar appeared in the fleet of the Czech police. They did not spend a penny of budgetary funds on the purchase of a car – it went to law enforcement officers absolutely free of charge. A video from the Ferrari appeared on the Youtube channel of the Czech police.

The fact is that this Ferrari supercar was confiscated by the court from criminals as part of a criminal case. They decided not to sell the car at auction, but to transfer it to the patrol police. This is not the first confiscated car in the service of Czech law enforcement officers, but they have not yet had supercars.

The Ferrari 458 Italia coupe will be able to catch up with almost any violator. It is equipped with a 4.5-liter 570-horsepower V8 and a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. The supercar is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaching 326 km/h.

12,000 euros were spent on preparing the car for patrolmen. It received flashing beacons, special communications, radar and other equipment, and was also painted in the colors of the Czech police.

Jiri Zly, head of the Czech traffic police department, said that the Ferrari 458 Italia will be used to deal with particularly aggressive drivers. The supercar will be driven only by police officers who have completed a special course in extreme driving.
