On the evening of December 23, in the Russian Federation in the city of Kemerovo, a large-scale fire broke out in a private nursing home. The incident was reported on the Telegram channel of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It is known that the organizer of a shelter in a private house, a 31-year-old local resident, was charged with providing services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life or health of consumers, which negligently caused the death of two or more persons (part 2 of Art. 3 Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

According to preliminary information, the man rented a private house to accommodate people in a difficult life situation.

“The house was heated by a coal boiler. On the eve of the incident, the residents informed the accused , that the boiler is faulty, but he did not take any action to repair the equipment,” the ICR said.

According to the investigation, the services were provided without concluding contracts and statutory documents, in violation of fire safety requirements.
