100% French Paracetamol: the State in Support

#TOULOUSE – The 100% French paracetamol plant Ipsophène, which is due to open in 2025 in Toulouse, will receive state aid. Indeed, Isophène is one of the seven projects supported by France 2030 for the relocation of the production of essential medicines. Of its overall project estimated at 28 million euros, the Toulouse company will receive 3.6 million euros from the State. Isophène had already received 4.2 million euros from the Occitanie Region. With an announced production of 3,400 tonnes, the plant should be able to meet 40% of French paracetamol consumption. The Isophène company plans to market its medicine in 2026 on its site which will be installed in a disused ArianeGroup building, on the island of Empalot, south of the Toulouse ring road. Paracetamol will be produced using an eco-responsible technology patented by Ipsomedic that optimizes the synthesis of paracetamol by reducing waste and energy consumption.

The thriller of the ex-robber

#HERAULT – In 2023, Michel Ucciani published Corse, en prison, his first book about his life in jail. Today, the ex-robber, who has been living in Mèze for a few years, is releasing his first thriller, Sur les chemins de la mauvaise vie (éditions du Cursinu). “My experience of prison and robberies was useful for the first pages, but the rest of the story takes place elsewhere and on other themes” , explains Michel Ucciani. Throughout these 230 pages, we follow the adventures of the Corsican Ange Colonna (he has the same surname as Yvan, a great friend of Michel Ucciani) who meets a godfather of the Cosa Nostra in prison. The author admits to already working on a sequel.
