Ukrainian premiere of the drama “the Forgotten,” directed by Daria Onishchenko will take place at the opening of the 49-th Kyiv international film festival “Youth” on August 22.
The movie tells the story teacher Nina, which is due to her husband’s work and can’t get away from the occupied Lugansk, and seventeen-year-old student Andrew, the war left an orphan, and trying to remind Ukraine that it still exists. The plot — the stories of real people from the occupied territories in the East of Ukraine and Crimea.
The main character of the film, Nina plays a young Ukrainian actress of theatre and cinema Marina Koshkina. Marina herself is a native of Luhansk region and this role is very close to her. The team of the movie also joined the actor Alexei Gorbunov. One of the roles in the film played by the famous Ukrainian artist and sculptor Maria Kulikovskaya.
The movie “the Forgotten” in wide release is scheduled for autumn 2020.
