Writer Frédéric Beigbeder looks back on the rape accusations that marked the year 2023. In an interview with La Tribune du Dimanche, he reveals the personal reflections that prompted him to transform his life and write his latest book, Un homme seul.
A closed but significant case
Accused of rape in July 2023, Frédéric Beigbeder saw the case closed without further action on July 26, 2024, due to the lack of serious or concordant evidence, as specified by the Pau prosecutor's office. However, this judicial episode had a profound impact on the author, known for his outspokenness and his provocations.
