The GAC Aion Hyper GT will be offered with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The monodrive version produces 340 hp. and 434 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 4 seconds. The range of the model is about 500-600 km.
The electric car is equipped with variable steering and damping system. They allow the car to respond to changes in road conditions in a matter of seconds. An active rear wing is also installed, which increases downforce at high speed.
Options to include mmWave cameras, three lidars with an obstacle recognition system and equipment supporting infrared remote sensing from a satellite. This equipment makes the GAC Aion Hyper GT a fairly autonomous car that helps the driver avoid accidents.
The electric car stands out with an unusual door opening mechanism that resembles a similar solution on Lamborghini supercars. The GAC said that this made it possible to significantly reduce the height of the novelty, thereby improving the aerodynamic properties. The drag coefficient is 0.19Cd, making it one of the most streamlined cars in the world.
