Game of Thrones: this new spin-off on Jon Snow soon on your screens

After House of the Dragon, the universe of Game of Thrones should expand further with a spin-off devoted to Jon Snow. We tell you everything!

In the early 2010s, the cable network HBO embarked on the small-screen adaptation of the Game of Thrones, a best-selling literary saga born from the fertile imagination of its author, George R. R. Martin. Some eight seasons later, the series has become one of the most profitable on the channel, in addition to having managed to unite a phenomenal number of fans around the world. Faced with this success, the producers of HBO did not hesitate to expand the universe of Game of Thrones through spin-offs. The first, House of the Dragon, will also land this summer on the small screen during the month of August.

Central character of Game of Thrones, Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) has largely contributed to the twists and turns of the series, the most famous of which remains his death in season 5, his unexpected resurrection taking place in the following season thanks to Melisandre. When HBO's most famous production ends, Snow has been banished from Westeros for killing Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). End of the adventure? Not really, since the Hollywood Reporter tells us that HBO is currently developing a series dedicated to the character, to whom Harrington will again lend his features.

These other Game of Thrones spin-offs that HBO is preparing

HBO does not intend to stop there with Game of Thrones, quite the contrary . Even before the end of the series, the American cable network was already working on possible extensions. If his new project stands out so much from the others, it is because it is the first official spin-off whose events would take place after the end of Game of Thrones. The other projects in HBO's wallet, 10,000 Ships and 9 Voyages, devoted respectively to the Targaryen family and Lord Corlys Velaryon, would be located before the chronology of Game of Thrones. In the meantime, go to OCS on August 21 to discover the first episode of House of the Dragon!
