Gatineau police confirm having found the body of Jean-Louis Desrosiers

The Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG) confirmed on Monday that the body found last November is indeed that of Jean-Louis Desrosiers.

In early November, Mr. Desrosiers' vehicle had been found at the bottom of the water by amateur divers in the territory of the municipality of Thurso. The Gatineau police then carried out an operation to extract the car and the body found there.

Monday, the SPVG was therefore able to confirm that it was was the body of Mr. Desrosiers.

The 79-year-old man had been missing since August 18, 2020.

He had been last seen in his vehicle, a dark gray 2009 Hyundai Elantra, registration Y54 KPQ. He then left his residence in the Carrefour-de-l'Hôpital district in the Gatineau sector to go do some shopping, at the time of his disappearance.
