In Germany, an employee of the Federal Intelligence Service, who is suspected of spying for Russia, has been arrested. This is reported by the Federal Prosecutor's Office of Germany.
According to the information of the department, the suspect turned out to be Carsten L. He was arrested on Wednesday, December 21.
The defendant and another person were searches were carried out.
Prosecution officials suspect that in 2022 the man passed on information obtained in the course of his professional activities to Russian intelligence. The information, in turn, was a state secret.
