Included in the military aid package includes six vehicles with a complete set of HEP 70 decontamination equipment, as well as a supply of decontamination supplies.
Germany will transfer transport and equipment for the decontamination of radioactive, dangerous biological and chemical warfare agents to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian military has already been trained in the use of such systems. This was reported by the press service of the German Ministry of Defense.
“I also decided to transfer the German package of funds to the RKhBZ. This will give the Ukrainian Armed Forces an immediate opportunity to neutralize chemical warfare agents,” said German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht.
The military aid kit reportedly includes six vehicles with a full set of HEP 70 decontamination equipment, as well as a supply of decontamination equipment.
The aid package is worth more than 860,000 euros.
The minister clarified that the transfer of these systems to the Armed Forces of Ukraine “does not limit the operational readiness and performance of the tasks of the Bundeswehr in the foreseeable future.”
Earlier it was reported that the government of the Federal Republic of Germany tacitly agreed to the sale of 100 Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine.
