God of War: Ragnarök breaks sales record for Sony

“God of War: Ragnarök” was launched on November 9 on PlayStation.

It's official: one of the most anticipated games of the year, God of War: Ragnarök, has become Sony's best-selling title in its first week of release , with 5.1 million copies purchased.

The newest addition to the God of War series has received rave reviews from gamers and gamers alike. On the aggregation site Metacritic, the game posted a score of 94% on Wednesday.

The success of the game is also reflected in the nominations for the Game Awards, the Oscars of video games. The title is in the running for nine awards, including Game of the Year, which positions it as the favorite of the competition.

God of War: Ragnarök was designed in Los Angeles by Sony's Santa Monica studio. The game was released on November 9th for PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles.
