Famous Japanese designer Kansai Yamamoto died at the age of 76 years. Reports BAGNET, reported the TV channel NHK.
The designer died on July 21, but his daughter Mirai Yamamoto announced his death on Monday, July 27. In recent months, he struggled with acute myeloid leukemia.
Yamamoto was born in 1944 in Yokohama. He studied at the University of Nippon, and a design Studio, where he studied fashion. The Prime of his career as a designer came in 70-e and 80-e years of the XX century. Yamamoto has collaborated with musicians Elton John, Stevie wonder and David Bowie. In the early ‘ 90s, he began producing large-scale entertainment events.
In 2010, he distinguished himself in industrial design, developing the concept of external high-speed Express train Skyliner, which runs between Tokyo and Narita airport.
In recent years he has collaborated with French fashion house Louis Vuitton when you create a collection using scenes from Japanese art and Kabuki theater.
