Halloween Ends: a first vengeful trailer for the final of the trilogy

Universal Pictures has unveiled a vengeful first trailer for Halloween Ends, the finale of the new trilogy directed by David Gordon Green.

Ahead of The Exorcist's resurrection with a sequel to William Friedkin's cult film, director David Gordon Green will first complete the new Halloween trilogy, thought of as the sequel to John Carpenter's first Halloween, Night of the Masks which swept away decades of narrative wanderings with varying degrees of success. After the first images of Halloween EndsUnveiled during April's CinemaCon, Universal Pictures has shared the first official trailer for the horror trilogy finale.

While Halloween Kills was more about the other surviving victims of the slasher, the video focuses almost entirely on the ultimate showdown– or at least what is presented as such before the next reboot or remake – between Laurie Strode (the badass Jamie Lee Curtis) and Michael Myers (James Jude Courtney). The masked Boogey man having killed his daughter Karen (Judy Greer), the eternal survivor should more than ever want revenge and kill the psychopath. According to the preview, the film will also continue its nostalgic fan service by making new some flashbacks to the time of the first movie in 1978.

Don 't fuck with Laurie

On the side of the other Halloween survivors Kills, Laurie's granddaughter, Allyson (Andi Matichak), will be part of the game again, although not very present in the trailer, just like Officer Hawkins played by Will Patton and the Lindsey Wallace by Kyle Richards. New human sausage meat will also be made available to the killer who, we hope, will show as much inventiveness and barbarism as in the previous opus, certainly stupid, but quite pleasant in its killings.

Halloween Ends will land in French cinemas on October 19, 2022.
