This Friday, December 27, the customer of a restaurant in Cannes, in the Alpes-Maritimes, spent the night in police custody. He himself asked the police to take him away, because he did not have the means to pay the bill for the restaurant where he had just eaten.

He treated himself for the holidays but had nothing to pay for. After eating his meal, enjoying several cocktails and drinking wine, the customer of a Cannes restaurant decided to call the police officers who were passing by when it was time to pay the bill.

According to Nice-Matin, which relates this rather comical story, the man actually asked the police officers to arrest him.

Sobering-up cell and police custody

Since he didn't have the means to pay the 80 euros he owed the establishment after his feast, the customer spent the night in police custody after a quick detour to the prison cell sobering up.

According to our colleagues, this is not the first time that this man has found himself in this type of situation. Released at the end of his police custody, he will have to explain himself before the criminal court of Grasse.
