A 38-year-old jogger died after being hit by a motorist who fled the scene on January 11, 2025 in Gaillac in the Tarn.

While jogging along the side of the road, a 38-year-old man was hit by a car, our colleagues at Dépêche report. The driver of the vehicle did not stop and fled.
The jogger was discovered by a passerby, lying on the side of the road. Emergency services called to the scene were unable to resuscitate him. The jogger, a coach and football player well known to local clubs, died of cardiac arrest, reports France 3.
