HIMARS strikes: Russia complains about US involvement in the war

In Moscow called the words of General Vadim Skibitsky “official recognition” and promised to “take it into account for the future.”

The Russian Ministry of Defense accused the United States of “direct participation” in the war on the side of Ukraine, as Kyiv allegedly coordinates with Washington the targets that HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems strike. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Tuesday, August 2.

The Russian department referred to an interview with Major General, Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Vadim Skibitsky for The Telegraph. The British publication concluded that before the launch of HIMARS missiles, consultations are taking place between representatives of the intelligence services of Ukraine and the United States, which would allow Washington to stop any potential attacks by Ukrainians if they were dissatisfied with the intended target.

“All this indisputably proves that that Washington, despite the statements of the White House and the Pentagon, is directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Moscow called Vadim Skibitsky's words “official recognition” and promised to “take it into account for the future” .

In turn, the representative of Ukrainian intelligence stressed that the United States does not provide direct information for targeting, as this could undermine Washington's arguments that they are not direct participants in the war.

Recall , as of July 25, the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the help of HIMARS systems destroyed 50 Russian warehouses with ammunition and fuel. After that, new strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine were repeatedly reported.
