Gamers noticed that a character linked to Elon Musk's account was active in a video game, while the billionaire attended Donald Trump's inauguration at the Capitol. According to them, Musk would call on experienced gamers to play in his place.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and the social network X, has repeatedly boasted about being among the best players at games like “Diablo IV” or “Path of Exile 2“.

Despite these claims, Musk's skills have been questioned by other players. On Monday, during Donald Trump's inauguration, a streamer named Quin69 pointed out an intriguing inconsistency. On Twitch, the latter noticed that a character associated with Elon Musk's account in “Path of Exile 2” was active in the middle of the game, while the billionaire was simultaneously present at the Capitol, alongside the new American president.

“I can see you there”

“Elon, how are you there ?”, he quipped live. “Elon, seriously, how ? You're in the game right now, level 96, but I can see you there”, he insisted, overlaying images of the role-playing game (RPG) and Musk in Washington. For several minutes, Quin69 followed the character's movements in the game and the political event in parallel, confirming that Elon Musk was not playing at that moment, according to Numerama.

For many, this situation constitutes irrefutable proof that if Elon Musk's accounts are well ranked on several games, they are in reality used by other, much more competent players. This would support the idea that the Tesla boss is lying about his true gaming skills.

In January, the gaming world had already been skeptical of the billionaire after a live session on “Path of Exile 2“. Many viewers had noted his difficulties using the game map and his basic errors. “This has become, in a way, irrefutable proof that he is an imposter“, commented one Internet user.
