The actress is the second child of seven children of emigrants from Ukraine.
Vera Farmiga, 49, an American actress and singer of Ukrainian origin, turned on the sound of an air raid alarm during a concert in the United States. In her Instagram account, the celebrity published a fragment of a speech in New York.
“We are against politicians who support the war! We will protest! We will protest!” Farmiga said from the stage. And she added in Ukrainian: “Glory to Ukraine!” From the audience, someone from the audience shouted: “Glory to the Heroes!”

Until the age of six, she spoke exclusively in Ukrainian, she did not know English. She graduated from the Ukrainian Greek Catholic School in New York and attended the Ukrainian folklore and dance ensemble Syzokryli.
