Honda unveiled three low-cost electric scooters. The Cub e, DAX e and ZOOMER e models will be available in the coming months. This is reported by the official website of the Japanese brand.
The new Honda are modern variations on the theme of the Japanese brand's vintage mopeds of the same name with gasoline engines. All of them are capable of speeds up to 25 km/h and are equipped with pedals, that is, they are equated to electric bicycles and you do not need a license to drive them.
The Honda Cub e electric scooter features large spoked wheels, just like classic mopeds. The electric scooter received a two-tone color and a leatherette seat.
The Honda DAX e has a youthful design with small wheels and high handlebars. It has bike glass and a bright plastic fairing.
The new Honda ZOOMER e is primer ready. The electric scooter received off-road tires, steel arches and reinforced suspension. The fenders and fairings are made of durable unpainted plastic.
So far, new Honda mopeds will be sold only in China, but in the future they may appear in other countries. These are the first of 10 two-wheeled electric models that are set to go into production before 2025.
