An impressive technical sheet for a device sold for less than 300 euros. But what is it really worth in everyday use ? We tested it for two weeks to give you our verdict.

Honor has achieved a feat with the Magic 7 Lite. Despite its gigantic battery, the smartphone retains a slender line with only 7.98 mm thick and 189 grams on the scale. The manufacturer has opted for a curved design with a glass back and rounded edges that fit the palm. The circular photo module, positioned in the center, brings a welcome touch of originality and allows you to clean all the lenses with a single wipe of a cloth.
Resistance is one of the strong points of this Magic 7 Lite. The smartphone benefits from a 5-star SGS certification for its resistance to falls up to 2 meters. Honor didn't stop at just this certification: the manufacturer claims that the 7 Lite can also withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -30 °C to 55 °C. IP64 protection completes the picture, ensuring splash and dust resistance.

Honor has equipped its Magic 7 Lite with a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a Full HD+ definition (2652 x 1200 pixels). The curved screen offers good brightness that reaches 1200 nits in peak, guaranteeing its readability even in direct sunlight. The 120 Hz refresh rate ensures smooth navigation through the interface.
The thin bezels and the front camera discreetly housed in a punch-hole contribute to the immersion. The optical fingerprint reader integrated under the screen is responsive and precise. Overall, the experience offered by this screen is of a high level.
Under the hood, the Magic 7 Lite has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor supported by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. This configuration ensures a smooth experience on a daily basis. Navigation between applications, web browsing and watching videos are no problem.
The smartphone, however, shows its limits on demanding 3D games where it will sometimes be necessary to reduce graphic details to maintain a stable frame rate. For classic use (social networks, photos, streaming), performance remains largely satisfactory. The storage capacity allows you to install numerous applications and store photos and videos without worrying too much about the available space.

The Magic 7 Lite relies on a dual camera module with a 108-megapixel main sensor (f/1.8) optically stabilized and a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle. The main sensor is not bad in broad daylight, delivering relatively detailed shots, but with exaggerated contrast. Optical stabilization does its job in low light, effectively limiting camera shake.

The ultra wide-angle is more timid with a limited definition that struggles to transcribe fine details. It is nevertheless practical for landscapes or group photos. The portrait mode benefits from high-performance artificial intelligence that effectively detects the contours of the subjects. The selfies, captured by a 32-megapixel front sensor, are rather sharp.

The battery is the Magic 7 Lite's trump card. With its 6600 mAh, the smartphone pulverizes market standards. In moderate use (web browsing, social networks, some photos), the device lasts easily three days without recharging. Even heavy users will get at least two full days of battery life.
The 66W fast charge can recover 50% of battery in about 20 minutes. A full charge takes just under an hour. Honor has also integrated battery optimization features to preserve its longevity.
The Magic 7 Lite runs on Android 14 with the MagicOS 8.0 overlay. The interface, fluid and intuitive, offers many customization options. The neat animations and the adaptive refresh rate contribute to the overall feeling of fluidity.
Honor has enriched its interface with practical features such as multi-window mode, the smart sidebar and gesture screenshots. The Magic Text function makes it easy to recognize and extract text from any image. The manufacturer promises two years of Android updates and three years of security patches.
The stereo speakers deliver powerful and balanced sound, ideal for watching videos or playing without headphones. The AMOLED screen and its brightness also offer a great experience on video content. The smartphone perfectly manages HDR10+ for a more dynamic rendering of colors and contrasts.
