Experts studied the prices in the secondary market a month after the cancellation of zero customs clearance of a car. The results were quite unexpected.

The abolition of free customs clearance from July 1 has already affected the used car market in Ukraine – car sales have declined sharply. Previously, market experts predicted an increase in prices for used cars. Auto-Consulting, an information and analytical group, undertook to check whether the cost of used cars has changed.

As part of the study, the average prices for used cars in Ukraine for June and August 2022 were compared. Auto-Consulting chose the most popular models on the “secondary” of different years of release. The result was unexpected – it turned out that so far most of the cars have either not risen in price, or have increased in price slightly.
