A balanced diet is the key to a pet's health.
The main part of the diet of cats should be meat. One of the most useful vitamins contained in meat is vitamin B. It can be found in large quantities in the liver. Therefore, it is simply necessary to feed a cat with liver, informs Ukr.Media.
Can you give a cat chicken liver
A balanced diet guarantees a high duration and quality of a cat's life. If you do not take into account the properties of this or that product when preparing the diet, it can cause allergies in the cat or lead to intestinal diseases.
Liver is one of these products. Animals should not be fed with it often. An excessive amount of liver in a cat's daily menu can harm the animal's intestines.
Why liver in a cat's diet:
The liver is rich in vitamin A, which strengthens the bones, and vitamin B, which is responsible for the development, vision and quality of the animal's wool.
It contains substances that fix the brightness of the color wool.
Affects the activity of the gastrointestinal tract.
Let's take a closer look at the ability of the liver to influence the work of the intestines. Raw liver has a strong laxative effect on the cat's stomach. Boiled, on the contrary, has fixing properties. Therefore, frequent consumption of only raw or only cooked liver by a cat can cause digestive problems. In addition, boiled liver can be fed to a cat if it has an intestinal disorder – diarrhea.
The right diet for a cat
To make a cat eat liver, prepare a tasty and aromatic porridge from it, with the addition of chicken stomachs, fresh carrots and oatmeal.
Method of preparation:
Boil the liver together with the stomachs for 15 minutes. Grind the liver on a large grater, cut the stomachs. Grate raw carrots on a fine grater.
Pour oatmeal flakes with boiling water, cover with a lid for 3-5 minutes.
Then everything mix together. It turns out tasty and fragrant, and most importantly, it is useful.
You can feed a cat with such porridge at least every day. Just change the cereal from time to time. This is much more useful and safer than feeding the liver in its pure form.
If you approach your pet's nutrition wisely, you can give him whatever he wants without fear. The only thing you should remember is that in no case should you interfere with dry and natural food. This threatens a disorder of the gastrointestinal tract.
