Human remains discovered in Prince Edward Island may be those of a New Brunswick fisherman. The RCMP are investigating and trying to see if there is a connection between the disappearance of the fisherman and the discovery of these human remains.
Thursday morning, the West Prince Detachment of the RCMP has been made aware of the discovery of human remains in the water near Skinners Pond.
RCMP say a member of the Island Coroner's Office- of Prince Edward will cooperate with the investigation. An autopsy will be performed in an attempt to uncover the identity of the dead person and to determine the cause of death.
Prince Edward Island RCMP are working with that of New Brunswick to find out if there is a link between the missing fisherman and the discovery of these human remains.
We have not yet been able to We have not formally identified the deceased, but police have contacted the missing boy's family to inform them of the discovery, Prince District RCMP Corporal Travis Gallant said in a statement.
