Astronomers working with the Australian ASKAP radio telescope, discovered three mysterious object. Another similar object was found by the authors to archive data of Indian radio telescope GMRT.
Scientists discovered in the Universe mysterious object that they called a strange radiocarpal. No one knows what it is.
The discovery is described in the Preprint scientific articles published on the website arXiv.org.
This confirms that the strange radiotray (odd radio circles, or ORC) are real and not the result of human error Australian Observatory.
“Who knows what” has a rounded shape. However, three of the four objects at the edges brighter than the center – it kind of rings or bubbles. All four objects are only visible in the radio as well as in optical, infrared and x-ray telescopes, they cannot be detected.
ORC is not similar to any known celestial body, and has earned its name. However, astronomers know a few classes of round objects, but none of them are suitable for one reason or another. So, planetary nebulae have a different spectrum. Radiotray can’t be the remnants of a supernova: they are too rare, and highly unlikely to four such object “crowded” on a small area of the sky.
The apparent diameter ORC is about one arc minute (about one-thirtieth part of the lunar disk).
How large are these objects really? Is unknown, because the distance to them remains a mystery. They can be relatively small and be located in the milky Way or bigger than the whole galaxy and be very far away. In either case, but the size will be the same.
Astronomers are still inclined to think that the ORC is located outside the milky Way. First, on the celestial sphere they are outside the galactic plane, where the vast majority of its stars and other objects. Secondly, when you look from Earth in the centers of two of the four radiogrupo are own galaxy.
Meanwhile, it is possible that these galaxies do not have to circles unrelated and just happened to be in their background. In other words, we just look at the star system through radiotray as well as can see the Sunshine through splayed fingers.
Found new arguments against the existence of “the ninth planet”
The authors suggest that they are dealing with a shock wave from some cosmic cataclysm. As possible examples are the collision of neutron stars, gamma-ray bursts and fast radio bursts.
Another hypothesis is that the stream of substance flowing out of galaxies.
Meanwhile, none of the explanations answer all your questions, so scientists have yet to understand what they found.
The scientific work of the authors submitted for publication in the prestigious journal Nature Astronomy. Currently analyzing it brought by log experts.
