Ukrainian border guards discovered an ancient Roman settlement and unique cultural artifacts in the Kherson region. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Fragments of amphoras and jugs were discovered during the arrangement of fortifications on the coast of the Dnieper.
The servicemen reported the find to local archaeologists and no further engineering work was carried out there to preserve historical artifacts.
The State Border Guard Service has already reported that after the end of hostilities, an archaeological expedition will work in this area.
The border guards also showed photos of unique finds. On them you can see fragments of pottery, which may turn out to be amphoras or other types of ancient dishes.
