The ignition of one of the aircraft's engines occurred due to a hit in its engine birds. As a result, at least 14 residents of the house on which the Su-34 fell were killed.
The Russian Federation explained the reason for the crash of the Su-34 bomber in Yeysk as a bird hit in its engines. This was reported by TASS with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies.
It is noted that during takeoff, two seagulls fell into the nozzles of the Su-34 engine, the remains of which were later found during the analysis of the wreckage of the fighter.
According to sources, this circumstance caused the fire of one of the engines.
