Now in the world people are testing 17 vaccines against coronavirus. This was reported to the world health organization, reports DW.
“The most promising is a vaccine AZD1222 developed by Oxford University. She first entered into the third phase of clinical trials, which means that it is tested on a larger number of people to determine its safety. Five potential vaccines are in the second phase of tests when studies are conducted on a smaller number of people with specific diseases. In the first phase typically, vaccines are tested on healthy people to test the security,” the statement reads.
While scientists cannot predict whether there will be any vaccine available before the end of this year. Typically, the development of a vaccine takes from 10 to 15 years. However, a global pandemic coronavirus was the cause of unprecedented efforts by pharmaceutical companies and researchers worldwide to develop vaccines against Covid-19.
Earlier it was reported that scientists have studied a new mutation of coronavirus and declare that it is spreading faster than the previous one but is easier. Biologists believe that the new mutation G614 almost completely replaced the first version circulated in Europe and the USA, under the name of D614.
