In Krivoy Rog, they launched the production of simple and unpretentious CoolOn CTRL buggies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We have already built 19 such SUVs and accepted orders for another 23 cars.
The CoolOn company from Kryvyi Rih is developing the first Ukrainian electric truck, but changed priorities during the war. Now she produces buggies for the APU. Vitaliy Bryzgalov, the founder and director of the company, spoke about this on Facebook.
The first prototype of the CoolOn CTRL buggy was developed in April, and thanks to the simplicity of the design, it was possible to quickly start its production in small batches. The defenders of Ukraine have already received 19 of these off-road vehicles and ordered 23 more cars.
Although CoolOn specialize in electric vehicles, they decided to make buggies powered by gasoline – on the units of old VAZs. Thanks to this, cars are unpretentious and easily repaired in the field, and also cheap to manufacture – the cost of one such car is only 80,000 – 90,000 hryvnias. That is, CoolOn CTRL is many times more affordable than imported analogues.
The SUV received a reinforced suspension and has good cross-country ability. Machine guns, grenade launchers and anti-tank systems are mounted on it. The servicemen also participate in the CoolOn CTRL improvement process and submit their proposals for improvements.
