Instagram wants to make your life easier if your account gets hacked
Instagram is finally reaching out to its followers who want help getting their account back.
The Instagram application has launched a new tool to help Internet users whose account has been hacked to regain access to their profile.
The new feature can be accessed through the Instagram.com/hacked website. It is mainly a help page that allows you to report when an account has been hacked, deactivated, or to try to solve problems accessing your own account if you have forgotten a password, for example.
While this centralized help page may seem innocuous, it has long been requested by followers of the photo platform. Until now, it has been very difficult for Internet users to find these Instagram help features.
Another new feature: users of the social network can designate two relatives on the platform that can validate their identity in order to regain control of an account if access to it is blocked.
The company also clarified that it is working on ways to preemptively prevent hacking, for example by sending warnings about suspicious accounts that might be impersonating someone else.
