Iran at a meeting of the Council of the International civil aviation organization (ICAO) has officially agreed to send to decrypt France black boxes of downed aircraft “Ukraine International airlines”.
This was stated by Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Yenin.
“Only that the Council of ICAO representatives of Iran agreed to transfer to France for decoding the flight recorders of the plane of the Ukrainian airlines flight PS752. This became possible thanks to consistent pressure the Ukrainian government and their colleagues from other countries,” wrote ENIN on his page in Facebook.
ENIN added that because in March Iran has already given a similar promise, the Ukrainian side belongs to today’s statement with cautious optimism.
“For us, initially, it was fundamentally important to find a way of guaranteeing international recognition of the results of the examination and the investigation as a whole (recall the experience of MH17 – Netherlands then handed over the flight recorders to transcript the British, to avoid any doubt about their impartiality). Therefore, professional decoding of the black boxes, which may make France, with the participation of the best experts from Ukraine and other countries, is a necessary step to completion of the technical investigation of the shoot down Ukrainian aircraft in the skies over Tehran in accordance with the requirements of the Chicago Convention”, – he said.
