Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs Yevgeny Yenin said that Iran is not going to negotiate with Ukraine on compensation for the downed plane of MAU.
This ENIN said in an interview with BBC News Ukraine.
ENIN noted that Tehran had previously stated that he is ready to pay compensation to the families of the victims. “Just today (July 7. – Ed.) we have received a communication from Tehran that the Iranian side is not ready to accept the offer of Kiev on the negotiations,” he said.
Therefore, according to him, it is too early to speak about any compensation. “The fact that the definition of the sum is the result of a very comprehensive examination that includes all the circumstances of the case,” said ENIN.
According to Deputy Minister, today everything depends on the political will of the Iranian side. “We’re working on it, and sincerely hope that the Iranian side is still influenced by a number of factors will agree as soon as possible to begin the negotiation process,” said ENIN.
