Although the supermodel quickly deleted her stories, Irina was accused of supporting the special operation — many have called for her to be “cancelled” and require brands to stop doing business with her.

I really hope brands reconsider their decision to do business with her, — tweeted (blocked in Russia) Ukrainian journalist Maria Romanenko.

This is unacceptable. She used this little clue with the ending z. People who don't see anything wrong with her post, you are blind, — posted on Instagram* by user @m.a.r.y.ta.

Users also mentioned Beyoncé: Sheik previously became the face of the Ivy Park x adidas collaboration ad campaign. The network suggested that after the scandal, Beyoncé would refuse to cooperate with Shake.

Some, however, stood up for Irina, suggesting that the model did not support the special operation, but simply used Internet slang. What about internet slang that uses z as an informal, playful ending for words that end in s? — writes user @brozeli.

Irina Shayk often posts photos of banya and traditional Russian dishes on Instagram* and often talks about her love for her Motherland.

I love Russia. I really enjoy spending time there, I am a great patriot of my country. I will always love Russia, — the model told in an interview.

Irina herself did not comment on the accusations of supporting the special operation. After the start of the special operation, she published a post on Instagram* in which she spoke out against and announced her intention to provide financial assistance to refugees from Ukraine.

Irina Shayk is not the first time she has faced such criticism: for example, two years ago, a supermodel denounced after she posted a picture of herself reading Leonid Mlechin's book “Putin”.

Then users wrote in the comments under the post that she was reading “the wrong literature”, and said that the model disappointed them.

Irina Shayk is from Russia , but has been living and working in Europe and the USA for many years.
