According to the Royal Belgian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (RBSPS), at least two people have lost their lives following botox injections from a fake specialist in Belgium.
In recent years, with the rise of cosmetic surgery, dubious establishments have also emerged.
At least two people have died following an injection performed by a person who was not actually a cosmetic surgeon, according to 7 sur 7, which relays information from this Monday from the RBSPS.

According to Steven Colpaert, plastic surgeon at the RBSPS: “In the event of a bad injection, part of the lip or nose can die, or the view”, he explains. “The patient can even die if the filler is injected into a vein in the face that is connected to a vein in the brain”, he adds. “This can cause a blood clot, which leads to thrombosis.”
Complications are common, but such a tragedy has never occurred. On April 4, a woman from Nice received Botox injections in her face and neck by a fraudulent “specialist.” A few days after the injection, she could no longer swallow and had difficulty expressing herself. She was even fed through a gastric tube for days after the incident.
