What poisonous plants are found in Poland?
According to the portal “Pomorska”, summer is the time when meadows and forests are full of various types of plants. Many of them are eye-catching with their beauty. Unfortunately, contact with some of them may turn out to be dangerous to our health and even life. Which species should be avoided?

One of the most dangerous plants that can appear in Poland is Sosnowski's borscht. The plant contains an essential oil that includes, inter alia, coumarin compounds. If this oil gets on the skin (especially on a sunny day), it leads to 2nd and 3rd degree burns. They are dangerous especially for children and the elderly.
The Bush Glass is beautiful, but also dangerous. Its charming flowers attract the attention of children. Unfortunately, its accidental consumption may be dangerous to our health. Poisoning is manifested by severe diarrhea which may be accompanied by convulsions. Harmful glycosides are found in all parts of the plant!
First of all, in the Bieszczady Mountains, you can come across Ciemięyca Biała. The root of this plant is the most poisonous. Poisoning with the plant proceeds gradually. First there is a feeling of weakness. Then a slow heart rate joins. Finally, the muscles responsible for breathing are paralyzed.
Glaucoma is the small size of yellow flowers, which most species are ; w is poisonous. The juice that comes out of the plant leads to skin burns, with redness and blisters. Contact with mucous membranes is especially dangerous. The plant contains poisonous protoanemonin, which primarily affects the nervous system.
Crazy Venom is another poisonous plant that occurs in our country. It is one of the most toxic plants in the world. The extract of this plant is one of the ingredients of hemlock – the poison that Socrates poisoned himself.
