What does Jarosław Kaczyński declare in the context of the fourteenth pension?
As the “Money” portal reminds us, the fourteenth pension, which was first given to seniors in the fall of last year, was supposed to be a one-off solution. Unfortunately, the rampant high prices forced the government to review the plans and re-pay the seniors the allowance. Last weekend, Jarosław Kaczyński announced that he would try to introduce fourteen to the calendar of payments for seniors for good.

Jarosław Kaczyński continues his tour of Poland. The Law and Justice leader last weekend appeared in Białystok, where he said that his job did not want Poles to “live on social benefits”, but he wanted a Poland that “works and has something to live on” .
It was not the only declaration that the PiS president made that day. He also announced that he would try to make the senior's allowance in the form of the fourteenth retirement pension permanently included in the pension plan. Will this happen? Time will tell.
The fourteenth pension in 2022
One thing is certain, already in August this year the payment of this year's fourteenth pension will start, which at the moment is envisaged as a one-off benefit. A total of fourteen will go to approx. 9 million people, of which 7.7 million will receive an incomplete amount.
The fourteenth pension in the amount of the minimum benefit can be counted on by those seniors whose basic benefit exceeds PLN 2,900 gross. After this threshold is exceeded, the benefit will be paid in accordance with the “PLN for PLN” principle, with the proviso that the minimum amount will be PLN 50.
To receive fourteen, no application is required. The benefit will be paid automatically together with the basic pension or retirement pension.
