The Young Pope (about the pontiff) starring Jude Law, released in 2017, is currently being filmed. It's called The New Pope. It is also directed by Paolo Sorrentino.
According to Vogue.ua, the series is dedicated to Pius XIII, who for the first time in history was the American Lenny Belardo. The official footage of the series shows two pontiffs at once: John Malkovich plays the new pope, and Jude Law will appear as another pontiff.
Hero Law declares war on homosexuality. This angers the cardinals, who plot against him.

In the pictures from the filming of the series, 46-year-old Jude Law with a naked torso in only swimming trunks walks along the beach in Venice.
The New Pope is set to premiere in November 2019.
