Discover our review of the album “Loin du Monde” by Jul.
It’s Friday and Friday rhymes with: day out! And this December 18th we are spoiled since the young rapper Coyote Jo Bastard unveiled his EP Only Fans and for the occasion we shared our exclusive interview with him in which he tells us about SCH his feat with Leto, Laylow and full other subjects and we will now be interested in the UFO. You are necessarily aware that Jul just released their second solo album of 2020 “Far from the world“. This is why we invite you to discover our review now. The album starts with “The pharmacy” and “Brouncha” two titles as effective as each other and which we already have the chorus in mind. Then it is “M*ther F*ck” the famous featuring with SCH.
We then discover “The past” a bit darker. Then “Another World” a song with 80s sounds. There is only Jul to succeed in rapping on this kind of instrument! We continue with a nugget: “Underground”, one of our favorite pieces of the project where we find the 100% rap Jul which kicks and cuts the production as fast as its shadow! We change the mood with “Son ex” a love sound, intended above all for Jul’s female audience who will appreciate it without any doubt. “Guytoune” then play, this is the feat with Naps. A successful dance rap song and that was clearly what we expected from this connection! We rediscover the Rat Luciano in “Like a thug” and the ease that the two artists have posed together is still very much present.

Then there is “SUV” then “We are trampling you” the feat with Gazo. Drill and efficient we want to tell you! Another of our favorite titles comes next: “Hold-up” which brings together Jul, Alonzo and Algérino. Forced to move while listening to this sound, it will turn on the New Year for sure. We continue with a rap song dancing with “Guadalajara” then it’s time to listen to the famous collab ‘with Wejdene “Away from it all”. And at melty, we are convinced by this title. The two artists’ voices go perfectly together on this instrument and this somewhat melancholy text. “I will not give back” and “People” ft Houari, Mubarak & Gips then follow and they are equally effective. Finally we end with “Bad boy” and “Fire” with Poupie, another one of our favorites from the album.
