Kate Middleton and Prince William, who are raising three children, talked to men who have attended special courses run by London-based charity Future Men, which supports about 500 fathers and their partners every year.
Courses focus on different aspects of parenting, from the relationship between father and child to the practical and emotional skills that enable men to take care of themselves, their partner and their child.
The video of the conference appeared on the official account of the Dukes of Cambridge on Instagram: ” As men and dads, we need to be easier … we don't have to be superheroes .”
Prince William expressed concern about new fathers who do not know what to do in difficult times and who have no one to turn to: “ I am very worried, because there are most fathers who simply do not know what to do and do not know where go. They may have no foundation or support in their environment . “
They are allowed: children of Prince William and Kate Middleton violate school rules
In response to a question from Kate Middleton, who asked about the challenges of family life, especially during isolation, the men described their experiences with their child's sleep patterns as a positive role model.
One of the fathers, Sarit Chaturvedi, said: “ Parenting is probably the only kind of work, if you can call it [work], it is a very, very difficult job, for which there is initially no practical experience. Any other job you do teaches you this at a time when it’s completely new to you, so being a parent for the first time is very scary . ”
During the conference, everyone shared tips on how to deal with pressure, talked openly about their feelings and talked about how to provide the best possible care for their children during difficult times.
Recall that recently, Prince William recorded a video message for firefighters and spoke about the problems faced by rescuers during the pandemic. In the meantime, Kate Middleton intends to change the established royal traditions.
